The Wannelius’ are a family I’ve known for a while now. Teresa and I are great friends, workout buddies, and neighbors. Plus, our children love to play together and my kids adore little Kiera and enjoy playing with the boys all the time. I was so eager for their session, and was so glad the kiddos did such a great job and were excited to see me. I can never seem to explain the pure joy and excitement I gain from photographing my friends and their families. It is such an honor whenever people that are close to me trust me enough to capture a season of their lives.
Teresa and Max decided they wanted a natural setting for their images, and I’m always on board with that decision. I love to highlight a family in a location that they feel most at home. For this family, this amazing scenery was perfect. As we walked around it was fun to hear the boys remembering the times they rode bikes on these trails. Capturing a moment where core memories happen is something I cherish.
These big brothers are the best protectors of little Kiera…plus she fell right into her roll of the baby of the family. As you can see, she’s leading those two down the path without hesitation. My youngest is a girl also, and both girls wear the title of fire cracker very well.
It doesn’t get much cuter than this right here…like I said, she’s got her mama and papa wrapped around her cute little fingers. Those little grins just melt me.
It’s so much fun to watch littles relax in front of the camera and capture their perfect personalities. From time to time, this can take a while…but never fear, I am always up for a challenge to capture those cute faces.
As I tell every family I work with…mom and dad HAVE to have pictures together alone. It. Is. Crucial!! Being the core of the family means you need to be in a photo with just your spouse just as much as you need images of your children as they grow.
Isn’t this the best? Cute…casual…family! I can’t wait to see these lovely faces again soon!
